"I would like to paint the way the bird sings"

WHEN daisies pied and violets blue, And lady-smocks all silver-white, And cuckoo-buds of yellow hue Do paint the meadows with delight, The cuckoo then, on every tree, Mocks married men; for thus sings he, Cuckoo! Cuckoo, cuckoo!--O word of fear, Unpleasing to a married ear!
When shepherds pipe on oaten straws, And merry larks are ploughmen's clocks, When turtles tread, and rooks, and daws, And maidens bleach their summer smocks The cuckoo then, on every tree, Mocks married men; for thus sings he, Cuckoo! Cuckoo, cuckoo!--O word of fear, Unpleasing to a married ear! " Spring and Winter" -- William Shakespeare
Nature have always mesmerised most of the people. Many cultures have always lived in step with nature. Many have understood that their lives today and tomorrow are entwined with having vibrant, abundant nature. But in the main, humans have found clever ways to lay waste to the Earth and to push countless species to the edge of existence. But we can use our supreme brain power and, if needed, self-interest. There is enough evidence of nature’s decline – and our knowledge of how we could put things right is becoming ever more sophisticated. Today nature has lost their beauty due to the man kind activities.
Species have been disappearing at 50-100 times the natural rate. Current trends indicate that 34,000 plant and 5,200 animal species now face extinction. This includes 1 in 8 of the world's bird species. The world’s forests are home to many species but about 45% of the planet’s original forests have been cleared. The forests are still being lost especially in the tropics and other biodiversity hotspots.
This is an heart wrenching fact that coral reefs are among the richest of ecosystems and 10% of the world’s reefs have been destroyed by direct damage and by pollution. A third of remaining reefs face bleaching and collapse in the coming 10-20 years. Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is dying. The cause is a combination of dumping of waste, and land clearances for development and sugar cane plantations which mean soils and pesticides run off into the sea. Similarly, half of the world’s coastal mangroves have been lost to development and damage. Their loss ruins vital nursery habitats for countless species and undermines mangroves’ vital role in lessening the effects of storm surges.
Plastic gets everywhere. It comes in many hazardous shapes and sizes – from single-use drinks bottles to packaging for toys, cosmetics and food. Turtles mistake plastic bags for jelly fish and eat them. This blocks their systems and causes them to starve. Even clothes now contain tiny plastic fibres that get washed into soils, waters and wildlife when we do the laundry. Those and other plastics can harm wildlife – and even end up in the fish and seafood we eat. And nowaday we people get fishes that are mixed with formaldehyde in the market. Consumption of such food can lead to the ultimate death of the consumer.
This is the truth and this is the dark side of our modern life.
Well, this is my another glass painting, theme based on nature. If mankind is going to continue this type of life and development then the beauty of nature could seen only in some papers of literature or on the paintings that used as wall hanging.
