Hi guys! back with new recipes of craft. :)

I think you all are much familiar with the polymer clay and how all you can use them. I have mentioned about this in many of my post. I hope at least some of them have heard about fluid art or fluid painting. You may be wondering what difference does this type of art makes. This best type of art to have fun and to create many fabulous abstract art pieces by pouring acrylic colours in liquid form and no much use of brush. So here you can apply paint to your canvas by pouring, sprinkling or any other dynamic methods.

Again you all may be wondering, if we pour this paint to canvas wouldn't they flow all over... wouldn't this create a mess. Yes, of course! this cause a great mess.. but most of the mess are beautiful. So thats why its important to prepare your workspace before you start pouring your paint. You should lay down a sheet of plastic and a tray over it. Keep a medium sized paper cup at the centre of the tray. Now place your canvas over the cup, this would allow the excess paint to flow over the tray. You can use straws or dryers to blow your pouring. To hold up canvas after pouring you have to use a strip of cardboard.

I made The Violent Dark Sea Fridge Magnet with acrylic pouring done on air dry clay. Let see how to create this.......... Lets walk to our workspace.

MATERIALS

  • Plastic sheet

  • Tray

  • Plastic cups

  • Acrylic paint

  • Pouring medium

  • Popsicle sticks

  • White air dry clay

  • Straw

  • Primer

  • Magnet

STEPS

to create canvas

  1. Here i have made my canvas with white air dry clay. So first roll up the clay and with rod flatten it into with thickness of 0.5cm. The clay must be evenly flattened.

  2. Using a cutter, cut the flattened clay into round shape. I took a daimeter of 2.5cm

  3. Once it is dried completely, apply primer to it as we do normaly to our canvas.

  4. Take your magnet and make imprint of it in the backside of clay and then with carving knife make place to fit the magnet. You can fit the magnet later.

  5. Keep aside for complete dry.

to create painting

  1. Take prussian blue, blue hue, white and gamboge hue (yellow) colours and take separate plastic cups for each. Add one or two drops of each colour to separate cups.

  2. Add about 25 ml of pouring medium to each colour. Mix with popsicle stick. I prepared the colour in very low quantity because my canvas is too small.

  3. Place the base clay over cup. Pour the Prussian blue, blue hue, white and gamboge hue (yellow) acrylic colours in same order from top to bottom.

  4. With straws blow up the white to make the waves. Here we don't have to use dryer because the base is too small, better to use straws.

  5. Now with popsicle stick apply some white streaks on blue part and blow them up to make waves.

  6. If you have green colour sand powder add them on the bottom part to make shore area.

  7. Keep them aside to dry

Finally once this have been got completely dried, Take your magnet and fit them on backside of the sea shore piece at the space we made. Here its completed and now its time to make sit them in our fridge.

Its ready... looks so good:)

TRy it guys
