Thinking about creating easy and wonderful things with air dry clay? Then go for making pendants. I have already shared about making simple pendants of three types with air dry clay in Trendy lockets. This time i have made a pendant with an ethnic style.

  • How to make pendant part:-

  1. Roll up the clay with clean hands.

  2. With hard stick spread the clay into circle flat shaped sheet with a thickness of 0.5 cm.

  3. Using round shaped cutter, cut clear circle shaped piece. Store the remaining clay for other use.

  4. On the one side of the circle base of pendant, make a small arch shaped cut. This gives a small U shaped edge on one side.

  5. Take two eye-pins with small white seed bead in it, put them on the pointed edges of U shaped cut pendant.

  6. Paint the pendant completely with black acrylic paint. Keep it for air dry.

  7. You can make designs with kundans, bead chains etc. Here i have made a base line of the pendant with white pearl small bead chain along with two lines of small golden bead chains. On the surface part of pendant, i made a single line of stone chain and top to it, a line of golden crystal kundans. And in middle of it a peal kundan with small bead chain circling it. You can change as per your wish.

  • How to make necklace:-

  1. Take a long strand of jewellery wire, about 40 to 50 cm, as your preference on length of the necklace.

  2. Add about 6 to 7 golden seed bead and then take the ends of the strand through the eye pin of pendant as if the added seed beads comes in between the two eyepins.

  3. After adding few seed beads, add stone rings with black beads and then continue adding seed beads of golden and black colours.

  4. You change design as you prefer, whether you want a simple design or with heavier look

  5. Once adding of beads is completed, secure the ends of the wire with the clamps and add the loops and hooks.

Yes ... its ready.... goes well with any sort of ethnic wears.

TRY IT.
