Trendy Lockets

Finding out the trends and trying it is the best thing to do. This time i have tried making locket with use of air dry clay.

Really.. its amazing to do..!

I have used white clay and i later gave those desire colour using oil pastels. You can also use acrylic paint to give colour to your clay but it loosens and gives more sticky nature to your clay. So i prefer to use oil pastels. Its very important that you have to keep clay in air tight container or else it can get easily rigid.

After taking needed portion to make locket remaining should be kept immediately into container. Before you keep it, you can use plastic cover to wrap the clay.

1. To create the hearty rose locket:--

--> Roll up the clay and then flat into sheet by spreading slowly. It should have a thickness of 0.5cm. Make sure that it is not so thin and not so thick.

--> Cut it into heart shape and let them to dry.

--> roll another small piece of clay into thin thread like and cut them into small bead shaped piece. Press them between finger and make small thin round petals.

--> Roll up one petal and join all other small petals into its lower edges all around. This gives rose

--> Fix the rose in middle of heart and then remaining space is filled with rolled petals and minute clay beads.

--> On top of the heart put an eye pin

--> Keep it for drying

--> After complete drying, apply sealant over it.

2. To make flower bouquet locket

-->Roll up the clay and then flat into sheet by spreading slowly. It should have a thickness of 0.5cm. Make sure that it is not so thin and not so thick. --> Cut it into diamond shape and let them to dry.

-->After getting dry apply desired colour on it, i have applied purple metallic paint. --> Roll another small piece of clay into thin thread like and cut them into small bead shaped piece. Press them between finger and make small thick white round petals.​​ --> Roll up one petal on the lower end. Roll yellow clay into elongated bead like and place in middle of the white. This gives our flower.

--> Create leafs with green colour clay. --> Fix the flower and leafs in one side of diamond shaped base. On the other side i have placed ribbon stone piece. --> On top of the base put an eye pin --> Keep it for drying --> After complete drying, apply sealant over it.
